Kanye West's "Power" video to debut next week! First images released!

Kanye West's controversial "Power" video is set to debut on his website sometime next week. The clip was directed by artist Marco Brambill. “It’s kind of apocalyptic, in a very personal way,” Brambilla told ArtsBeat. “It’s a very exaggerated hyper-sensational version of what the song is saying.”

Eminem's Recovery is #1 for the fifth straight week! Ross' Teflon Don settles for a #2 debut.

Rick Ross may have called his new album Teflon Don, but his nonstick verses weren't slick enough to knock the crown off of Eminem's head. With a barely perceptible 4 percent slip from the week before, Slim Shady's Recovery is looking bulletproof, as it will lodge a fifth straight week at #1 on sales of 187,000, helping the album blow by the 1.6 million mark, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

That means the Bawse will have to settle for a #2 bow for Don, which moved 176,000 copies, landing it well ahead of the next highest debut, Sheryl Crow's 100 Miles From Memphis (#3, 55,000).

Lloyd announces new album title via Twitter! + New single coming in August!

To his fans via his Twitter account, Lloyd announced the title of his upcoming 4th studio album. The project will be titled "KING OF HEARTS", and it will be his Zone 4/Interscope debut. Lloyd has already worked with Polow Da Don, Jim Jonsin, The Runners, Rico Love, among others, and plans on working with producer heavyweights like Timberland and Dr. Dre. "KING OF HEARTS" currently does not have a release date, but look for the debut single to drop this August!

Lloyd Banks Beats Assault Charge In Canada

G-Unit member Lloyd Banks won a major victory in court last week (July 15th), when an Ontario judge dismissed criminal charges against the Queens, New York rapper.

The charges stemmed from an incident in January of 2010, when Lloyd Banks, born Christopher Lloyd and a group of men allegedly assaulted Chris Hines, a well known booking agent in Ontario, Canada.

Banks and several other men were accused of assaulting Hines after a show at Club NV, just outside of Ontario.

Hines claimed that Banks and several other men held him hostage in a hotel room and assaulted him for over 20 minutes.

Last week, Justice Michael Epstein dismissed all charges relating to the January incident, which sparked headlines around the world... Continue Reading

The West Coast MC invited hundreds of his neighbors and Twitter followers to join him on set, where he showed how his humble beginnings turned into larger-than-life realities, cruising the block in a $200,000+ Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. 

The Marc Klasfeld-directed clip co-stars Lloyd, who filmed his scenes at night on the corner of 57th St. and Harcourt Ave.

New Lil Wayne album in September? "I'm Not A Human Being" Viral EP set to drop on his birthday!

Lil Wayne will be dropping a new project on his birthday entitled "I'm Not A Human Being."
Dropping on his birthday, Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant told Vibe,
“I'm putting out a [Wayne] album called I'm Not A Human Being and I'll probably drop it on his birthday, September 27.”

The album will serve as a prelude to The Carter IV which is scheduled to be released around November when he's also scheduled to be released.

"I'm Not A Human Being" is slated to be an EP of all new songs by The Birdman Jr. and will be released virally.
