Lloyd welcomed Rap-Up TV on set of his “Lay It Down” video shoot at Voyeur nightclub in West Hollywood where he was filming a dream sequence with director Mickey Finnegan (Soulja Boy’s “Pretty Boy Swag”).
Sammie Davis Jr. Jr. discussed the video concept for his Polow Da Don-produced single and the reason he decided to cut off his trademark braids. “There’s a feeling of being reborn, of starting fresh, and I’m just trying something new, switching it up, being spontaneous,” he said. “It’s almost 2011, and in my opinion, that’s the end of the braids.” And while he may no longer be “Long Hair, Don’t Care,” he has a new motto to match his new look: “Low Fade, Still Paid.”
If you can’t wait to get your hands on Lloyd’s album King of Hearts, good news awaits. The release date may be moved up from February to December. “It will be one of the top 5 best albums of 2010,” proclaimed a confident Lloyd.
December sounds sooooooooooooooo good to me ;))
