Gucci Mane is free! Holds press conference to reflect on prison time. Talks new label, new group, and new album!



Talk about a comeback! Rapper Gucci Mane — who has been behind bars for six months for a parole violation — was released Wednesday morning, and he's already on a roll.

"I have launched a new label, 1017 Brick Squad Records in affiliation with Asylum/Warner Bros. Records, and I'm working with a new team," he announced to a group of reporters just after his release. Mane says he'll also launch a nationwide tour in July, and release an album called "The Appeal" later this summer. And while it seems like the Atlanta-based bad boy is ready to put the past behind him, he did pause to admit his mistakes.

"My incarceration came at a pivotal point in my career, just as my first major-label album was dropping. I was forced to miss what should have been one of the proudest moments of my life," he explained.
